DIY Heating Pad Cover

DIY, Sewing

I have finally set up my sewing machine in a permanent location where I can, on a whim, “whip something up” (and just in case you don’t understand why that would be in quotations, it’s because everything always takes longer than I think OR I decide to go wild and add a bunch of stuff to it).

The past couple of weeks I started sewing again! It’s mainly due to my craft room finally getting set up, which I’ll have to write a separate post about when it’s all done. I’ve been making crochet project bags, a little quilt for my youngest, a quilted pin cushion, and yesterday I made a heating pad and cover.

A little bit about me

Personal

Hello!

I’m Sarah, I thought that I would introduce myself for people that don’t already know me. I live in Portland Oregon and have my whole life. I have been married to my best friend Mike since 2007, we started dating when we were 18/19 and have been together ever since. We have three great kids, Lilly who is energetic and so sweet is four and a half. Mia, who currently is mid her terrible twos and shows it but is also very fun is two and a half. Lastly we have my amazing baby Carver! he is 9 months old and is the best babe ever!

My house is a bit wild, with kids every where, stuff everywhere, a big dog, a fluffy cat and usually some sort of project or craft that I am attempting to do taking over part of the kitchen. I love to cook, garden, read, crochet, sew, make jewelry, I’m newly taking a ceramics class and am pretty much interested in any sort of craft. I love traveling around Portland and have my favorite places to go but am also trying to expand my repertoire (said in fancy accent) and try some new stuff.

I’ve been interested in starting a blog for a while but have been busy having babies, now that they are a bit older I’m thinking I might be able to get it together. Plus I have a lot of fun doing what we do and would love to inspire others to get creative too!

That’s it for now but I’m sure there’s more!
